Description:
| Technique: Transfer-print | Archaeological Notes: There was no reference to a pattern with this title recorded in Coysh and Henrywood (1984). This green transfer-printed pattern was identified from the pattern mark which carried the design title and the manufacturer, Grindley & Co. (Plowman 2001: 5, 8). This same pattern and manufacturer has also been recorded at Clovernook (see Wilson 1990). As part of the application of South's ceramic dating formula to the Clovernook assemblage, Wilson dates this pattern to ca 1897 (Wilson 1990 Appendix 1: 14). |
