William Ridgway (& Co)

Description: Bell Works, Shelton, and Church Works Hanley, Staffordshire; 1830-1854 (Godden 1968:112-113). The use of both transfer-printed or impressed marks incorporating either the initials ?W.R.? or name ?W. Ridgway? can be dated to between 1830 and 1834. The use of ?& Co.? following the name is attributed to the period 1834-1854 (Godden 1964:538).
