Description: Hanley, Staffordshire; 1851-present (Godden 1991:427). This manufacturer is tentatively represented by one simple impressed and bisected circular mark found on the base of a polychrome hand-painted saucer; pattern 47. No reference to this mark was found in the published literature. However this same mark occurred at the Sky City site in conjunction with the manufacturer?s name ?J & G Meakin?
