2007.160.2  Brick, R frog  Shallow red brick with uneven sloping depression frog with indented letter R. Hand pressed and stamped. Circa 1870s.  Probably made by Henry and Philip Rollison of Coalgate.

2007.160.3  Brick, A & K Frog  Soft hand pressed orange brick with narrow curved rectangular indentation with indented letters A & K . Made by John and William Austin and Henry B Kirk brick makers.  Austin family had long involvement in local companies specializing in the production and sale of bricks. Bricks branded A & K were made prior to 1888 by a partnership formed by John and William Austin and Henry B Kirk. Henry Kirk has worked by himself prior to the partnership in Lyttelton and after the partnership dissolved he started at the Farnley works at Huntsbury which later was owned by and became the Murphy Bros works.

2007.160.4  Fire brick, A G C Frog  Yellow fire brick with very shallow rectangular frog depression with angled corners and indented letters A G C.  Probably made by the Auckland Gas Co at Tolega Bay.

2007.160.5  Fire brick, Austin Sydenham Frog  Pale orange fire brick with shallow round corner rectangular depression frog with indented words "Austin Sydenham" with indented circles on each side from the making mould. Made by John and William Austin circa 1880 - 1890.  Austin family had long involvement in local companies specializing in the production and sale of bricks. In the 1880s machine pressed bricks appeared with brand names rather than initials as previously. Some makers incorporated the district or origin of the brick to ensure positive identification.

2007.160.6  Brick, B 2 Frog  Mid red brick with rectangular indented frog with angled sides and indented text B 2. Made by Brightlings Brickworks, Heathcote Valley.  Brightlings Bricks were separated into four classes identified with the numbers B, B2,B3, B4.
